Rita of the Trattoria

We ate most evenings at the trattoria in the village of Giarole. I asked Rita, the proprietress, if I could take her photo. She spoke no English and most of us had little Italian, so it was a bit tricky on the evening when only a few of us went there to eat (others having gone on jaunts to the sea). She was expecting eight and only four of us turned up. Trying to explain that we didn't know whether anyone else would show was not easy. There are times when hand gestures are inadequate!
