We were walking around Lanark Loch.......

........and we saw these water flowers. I have seen them before but have never known what they were. They were just coming into flower, and looked like small orchids. When I came home I got out the wild flower books, and I think the name is Amphibious Bistort (polygonum amphibium)..... Now I am no expert and I am sure if I am wrong someone will be able to tell me. They looked lovely anyhow.

We had a very nice warm and sunny day and had a nice walk, but on the way home the sky darkened (really black) and we got heavy rain. The temperature dropped five degrees in less than two minutes!!!

Ah Scotland, my native land!!!!
