All you can eat...

Whilst on our travels, we decided to take my mum out for lunch as a thank you for putting up with us for a week.

On the edge of Maldon, Essex there's a lovely Chinese restaurant called Izumi and they offer a buffet, self-service type menu. It's pretty good value for money and they have a wide range of food for you to try.

As a lot of parents will testify to, it's hard work sometimes getting the little 'uns to try something new, so it was good to see The Carmenator tucking in (particularly to the puddings)!

It was also a bit of an eye opener as there were clearly some people who lunch in there on a daily basis and for whom the phrase "All You Can Eat" represents a challenge to secure value for money.
