The butcher's shop

The first meeting of the village WI to begin the New Year gave us an insight into the world of miniatures! A lady came to show us some of her tiny figures, houses, animals, and shops, which she makes from scrap materials, apart from a little Fimo clay. A little basket opened to reveal a teddy bears picnic in full swing, so tiny!
And the tiny dolls have hand knitted clothes! Size 19 needles and crochet cotton - but she must have very good eyes!
It was a fascinating talk and demonstration. Some of her larger dolls houses are fully restored and furnished - and then given to care and nursing homes.
