Pitt Rivers Museum: Pufferfish Lantern

More stylish a hat in large.
(Front view & side view)

This is a pufferfish lantern from Enoshima, Japan, given to the Pitt Rivers Collection in 1900. I spotted it on Sunday when I visited the museum with my mother, and went back to explore further (and take pictures...) today. I rather liked its hat...

I've added a couple of extras/alternatives (an artist in the OUMNH and people describing their desired cheese at the Covered Market), and have uploaded some other shots to Flickr (right from here).
