The Bankies

We went to the Clydebank vs Petershill game today. My nephew Owen had been given tickets at school. My Dad came with us too. It stayed dry for the first half and poured down for the second so we were all huddled together in the small solo stand.

There is something about the junior leagues of football in Scotland, something terrifying bubbling under the surface that I felt more serious than any old firm game i have been to. Its all taken very seriously almost like the college football leagues in the USA and tonight the poor referee must've slept with one eye open for the abuse he got from the supporters in the stand.
