Leaf pot

First night of the new term of pottery classes and this is what was waiting for me - a slab pot that had been fired over the holidays. Pleased with the colour of the glaze and the way it's picked up the texture from the leaf imprint, but the not so happy withe the uneveness of the glaze in parts. I had watered it down slightly to give a lighter tone so maybe this has caused it to run and pool more. It may also be the way I dip the pot into the glaze - it's so hard to know how to hold it.
