Hidden trees now in full view

26 years driving along the B6372 and I had never really noticed these trees. Of course the January starkness of the landscape made them stand out, but mostly my inability to see them was the surrounding trees and now they have been cut. Who makes the decision to leave those two, maybe they were the only native trees. I have just checked on Google maps, and all the trees are still there.
