Life of a bubble maker

What's the point

Bad day today. A lorry driver decided not to obey the signs on the road bridge and crossed when the winds were high. As a result he was blown over onto the other carriageway closing the bridge. Found out too late to get on the 7.15 train so ended up going for the 8.08. Also there were signalling problems at Haymarket but fortunately these didn’t delay us too much. Wind picked up during the day but they managed to get the lorry off the bridge. They are working through the night to carry out the repairs so hopefully it will be open in the morning. Train on the way home was late so didn’t stop at all the stations. Good for me but no so much for some of the others. Managed to get some soup made tonight while J tried to sort out a new mortgage. Spotted this new road marking the other day when out with Kilda. We are now a 20 MPH zone in the centre of town but what is the point of this road marking. The road is for access to the back of some houses. All roads leading here have already been marked with a 20 MPH sign and we wonder why the council has no money.
