Doing it...

...all wrong. I attended a talk this evening by Dean Newman. He is an avid wildlife photographer as well as an avid birder. Dean amassed a North American life list of over 500 sightings. Today Dean's goal, in making images is more than just showing a "bird on a stick". He wants every photo he makes to reveal some aspect of the bird's natural history, environment or behavior. His shots are amazing and he shared some of his secrets.
