Road Trip - Day 4

Canberra

Action packed day today.

First stop was the subject of today's blip. The Telstra Tower. Essentially a very impressive radio mast on top of Black Mountain. We ventured up to the viewing platform and had a fantastic view of the whole of Canberra.

Next on the list was a cycle round Lake Burley Griffin. We did 16km round the western loop. On the way we stopped off at the Australian Parliament building. (See extra)

After our cycle we visited the Australian War Memorial. A fantastic monument and museum. (See extra of the wonderfully realistic model battles) We were also lucky enough to see the Last Post Ceremony. One fallen soldier is remembered each day.
