Storylines Festival

The girls and I spent the day in the central city at the Storylines Festival today. It wasn't as well attended as previous years, and we got to do everything without really waiting in any queues. Just marvellous. Met a number of kiwi authors and they showed us their books. Heard some of them reading excerpts of them. The girls got balloon sculptures and did lots of arts and crafts there. What did this whole day of busyness cost me? $7.50 for parking and whatever the cost of the fuel was. Sensational. Really appeals to my inner Yorkshirewoman.

After we'd done all that there was to do, we wandered down the other end of town to the Viaduct and played in the playground at the Wynyard Quarter. The central city is so fabulous to spend time in these days, it has a lovely feel to it.

As you can see from my picture of the Town Hall, the weather again did us proud. We left the Husband back in the Land of Beach as he had a football game, a local derby for the end of the season.
