Temple Balsall churchyard in what is now West Midlands formerly Warwickshire. The churchyard has a memorial stone dedicated to the Knights Templar which reads " In memory of all those Knights who having heard the command of the Great Captain of our Salvation have departed upon the pilgrimage that end in the Holy city. The Knights in honour of their bravery were granted lands in the manor of Balsall (Temple Balsall) by the Norman Knight Roger de Mowbray in the late 12th century
