Survivor

Wintersweet, aka Chimonanthus praecox.  This specimen, raised from seed many years ago, is rather close to the house.  If I don't hack it back each year it cuts out a lot of light when in full growth, in summer.  It seems to survive the brutal pruning.  However, close to the house the flowers survive the cold weather much better and even today were releasing their heavy, sweet scent.

I am spending more and more time in bed as this strange virus bites harder.  I will survive too.

Yesterdays blip was taken from indoors, today I did venture outside even though I could have got very similar shot from indoors.
