Meat, meat and more meat

Today we went for dinner to a South African restaurant in town.  We've never been before so thought we'd give it a try.  We both ordered a Ribeye steak.  This is what arrived - half a cow by the look of it.  I will also admit that we had a starter before that (see extra pic) - it was a 'sharing bucket of meat for two' so basically it had beef ribs, sausage, skewers of chicken, meatballs, pork chop..etc etc.  That would have done us, never mind the main course.   Needless to say, I could barely touch my steak after the starter.  The staff kindly asked if I wanted it home in a doggy bag, so that's tomorrow's lunch sorted!!  We tend to not eat too much meat, so this was just overload and had we known the portion sizes we would not have had the starter.  Nevertheless, for our first experience it was all great and was clearly the place to be for local South Africans going by the accents heard in the dining room.  We would definitely go back...but just choose wiser next time...
