Waiting for the next meal

I was quite a distance from this gull when I took the shot this morning and was disappointed when I saw it on my IPad as I had been hoping for something a bit more unusual.
I managed 2 hours weeding and leaf collecting in the garden this afternoon, it was like a spring day. All the new soil that was put in the garden last October has been sprouting weed seedlings but I was quite happy. I was amazed to see my roses which I have replanted had so much new growth.
