This is why I don’t like Papers Wasps.

I know it is part of nature, but these wasps are relentless in their attacks on the monarch caterpillar population - to the extent that they will wipe out entire populations.

It wasn’t until I’d killed this wasp that I realised it was in the process of eating a tiny caterpillar so it just had to be photographed and added to my other photos of the Monarch Butterfly Cycle and tagged accordingly. 

This is one caterpillar that escaped rescue and safety in a caterpillar castle.
