Bee-zilla

This bee was humungous ..... it was over an inch (about 3cm) long! It was nearly three times the size of the bees we usually see in the garden.

The poor thing had got rather damp & cold ....... as surprise, surprise it had rained a short while before .... so we moved it onto one of the flowers in the sunshine ..... yes brief appearance ...... but sunshine nonetheless ..... & it soon perked up! It flew off a short while later :-)
