Abandoned shrine and step well

Fascinating day.  Had breakfast with 6 lovely Argentinians, mostly political students - full of beans and happy to be going on to Goa.  Then off into the city to see if I could find something derelict for today.  Was invited into a house by a woman to meet her 4 unmarried sisters, extended family and grandmother who was the wife of a freedom fighter.  Very strange to find a family where only one girl had been married off. Was fed sweetmeats and chai and we all had such fun.  One sister was an astrologer and had things to say about me - not telling!  The father and mother were dead but a male friend, whom they addressed as their 'favourite uncle' came to visit.  He had  an impeccable English accent and had always worked in the tourism trade with foreigners and is their mentor and friend too.  Was asked by one elderly member of the family whether I was a man - my short hair and trousers and shirt obviously confused and all the family fell about hooting with laughter.  Extra photos will be posted tomorrow.  Just off to catch the train to Bundi.   P.S.  here is my walk
