Le port de plaisance de la Marina d’Agadir

The city of Agadir was destroyed by an earthquake in 1960, and not for the first time.

All that was left was a wall of the ancient Casbah, seen here at the very top of the mountain in the background.

The Marina in the foreground is a testimony to the new Agadir, with stylish shops, apartments and the inevitable luxury boats.

The writing on the mountain, which is lit up at night, reads

Allah Alwatan Almalik

God, Nation, King
