Not quite an optical illusion, but certainly vertiginous at the top of those steps, and extremely slippery! They are just behind Sid's Café of Last of the Summer Wine fame. Holmfirth seems to survive on its links with the long-running series - I guess it must still be shown on an obscure channel somewhere...
