Lydia , Margaret and May Wilkinson - circa 1948

I found this photo today when I was tidying a drawer upstairs. My mother is 3rd from the right. I think I was rather mean to my mother when I was younger when I needed to develop my own sense of female identity. I wanted her to be beautiful and elegant . Looking back , I find she is very beautiful and elegant and I really miss her wonderful open smile. I think this was taken just after the war ...but I am not sure. When we were children we went on lots of picnics with other folk from Lochgilphead. Mum is beside her sister Margaret and May ,her oldest sister is 4th from the left. It was nice to find the photo.
