Homeward bound....

.......'goodbye' to Wellington and 'hello' to Christchurch (extra).

In the air 6.35pm, seamist hugging the ranges, sun shining on the harbour with two Cook Strait ferries below, windy on take-off - no worries, loved it!

Clear along the East Coast, good views of the Seaward Kaikoura range even though the sun was shining onto my dirty window. All rivers were blue and the sea vibrant shades of ocean blue and turquoise - stunning!

Christchurch was hot, 27C, windy with a few bumps and a couple of hops on landing, like being on a small rollercoaster :)) Looking out north-east over the city with the Pacific Ocean and then sky. I think what's left of the CBD must've been out the other side, a city of trees, I liked the shadow of the plane.

Home again after a wonderful weekend :)
