Fungi for TT86

We have just cut all of the branches from our twisted Salix tortuosa  (twisted willow tree)  which we have to do on an annual basis. We leave the trunk which stands about 5'tall, and the new growth throughout the year will probably reach up another 10' at least.
However, even the trunk has got to be cut way down this year, as part of it appears diseased and has these tiny bits of fungi growing on it. - It is very pretty though!! Just have to wait for son in law to arrive with his chainsaw. We do know though, that it will just grow up again.
