Innovation!!

When B had surgery on his thumb yesterday he was told to keep his hand elevated and not bend the thumb. Easier said than done ! He wanted something to splint the thumb and I used a small shoe horn that came out of a cracker at Christmas!!!!

A bit big, but it did the job. But he is out coaching athletics tonight and needs to wear gloves, so I changed the shoe horn for a plastic label holder from a key ring.

I'm on washing up duties for next 10 days :0)

Day 2 at Uni for R went well. We met her at the station again, 5pm train today. Had an interesting conversation with a young man who was waiting to get on the train. The girls are very sociable and friendly. We are enjoying the additional exercise.
