I am trying to grow tomatoes in the mudroom and this is as far as they have got. We thought it would be nice to have fresh tomatoes in winter and I planted seed in September, not really knowing how long they would take. I doubt we shall get any fruit, but who knows? I could start them earlier next year and have another shot. Part of the trouble is that the mudroom, although it doesn't freeze in there, doesn't get very warm in winter and I am reluctant to spend any more on electricity to heat it. I spend enough for the greenhouse as it is. There isn't room in the greenhouse for these tomato plants!
