Inauguration

You can count on it that in his Inaugural Address Trump will  summon us to "bind the wounds of division".  But, just in the past three days he has attacked Angela Merkel, our NATO allies, civil rights champion, John Lewis and 17 intelligence agencies. His words will ring hollow. He’s already emptied them of all emotional force with his venomous tweets and the appointment of his Goldman Sachs cabinet.
In an age that demands "bigly" leadership, he’s behaved utterly small.   But, we can once again watch the Greatest Show on Earth. One circus comes to an end and another begins.
