Budding!

I know this looks very uninspiring, but it fascinates me as (boring looking as it is) it holds the promise of spring 2017 tightly packed within it! 
It is a bud from a Horse chestnut tree, and inside this large and sticky bud are the spring leaves and flowers of the tree. I know it is tightly closed now but in a few short weeks .............
I think I will make trees another of my blip projects - especially their flowers, so often missed.
