Bottoms up

The sparrow is having a turn at the tui tea jar. I missed the tui- again!!
And yes the jar is on a lean because the whole table affair leans. It is a seed tray sitting in an old washing basket trolley and is never straight.

A bit of an EB as we had a storm in the night that kept the whole town awake by the sound of it. Not much rain here only 10mm but the wind was ferocious. Lots of trees down and branches and leaves everywhere. Power off too but at am in the morning it didn't really matter.

We didn't know how lucky we were though till blipper Lizimagiz visited us and she is camping. Go to her journal, she may be fit enough to tell the tale. The campers at the two camping grounds at Kaiteriteri had a sleepless night too. But they can't go anywhere as ferries were out, the roads south to Christchurch were closed. The West Coast rivers were about to burst banks. A real mess. As for Wellington- is it still there or has it been blown north?
