Restoration

With Julia getting her first house, in Lincolnshire, it's time to start renovation old furniture again. We seem to do this on a regular basis but with Julia being the last one to get her own home I think we are coming to an end in this saga of furniture restoration.
Marlane got the old cabinet off ebay and I picked it up from Cheltenham at the beginning of the week. It is not chipboard or MDF, we were quite surprised to find it is solid wood.
Amazing what a difference a few days can make. We removed the top, sanded and painted the bottom, lightly sanded and stained/waxed the top and put it all back together again.
Result is amazing, as always with Marlanes ideas and work.

However, when you consider the restoration work at Gloucester cathedral it pales into insignificance, but we like it.
