Winter’s back broken

Today has been said to be mid-winter in Finnish folklore. It's Heikki's name day today, and there are folk sayings associated with it: The bear rolls over to the other side (and bear says ”Talvi puolessa, nälkä suolessa”)  and the other saying for today is Winter’s back breaks.

It actually felt a bit like spring when I had a walk with Sami in the morning! The picture if from Hatanpää Arboretum.

Today was a big day for Emma, she bought a new mobile (iPhone 6s). Mobile phones play such a big role in young peoples identity nowadays.

+3°C, partially sunny
