From my Doorstep

This is the view north, from just outside my front door.

It is such a good true north that I use it to judge whether it is worth loading up and going for some Northern Lights shots.  I stick my camera (on the tripod) just out of the door and take a couple of thirty second exposures, just to check if it is worth it.

Tonight, the forecast is for no Aurora.  And it is very overcast.

So probably not worth it.
