Bore fruit after all

My concerns that the late build of the greenhouse would bear no crop this year was unfounded. Despite early problems with getting the watering sorted, it developed well and we have (had) a very good crop of tomatoes (at least 4 varieties from cocktail to massive beefsteak), aubergines, cucumbers, peppers and possibly the odd melon.
Also managed to have some seed beds around the greenhouse but it was somewhat chaotic finding the space & making it chicken proof but still have had good salad, radish, runner bean, kohlrabi, carrot, fenchel, zucchini, spring onion, celeriac crops & possibly still celery. Also good were the "beer radish" a 12" long radish traditionally eaten raw with just salt to a beer. Interesting "harmonica" cutting method traditionally carried out by men!
