Extra. More bad news from Palmyra, the ancient Roman city in the Syrian desert. Militants from the Islamic State group have destroyed part of the Roman theatre and ruined the tetrapylon - the group of four 4-pillared structures shown in the extra photograph. What utter mean-minded madness.
