Deconstructed Flower

Such is my state of mind on this day that when I saw that the flowers OilMan bought to cheer us up last week were falling apart I began to think about the fact that while the fallen petals, with a bit of help from me, were rather pretty, they weren't a flower. They were even less of a flower when they were going every which way as they had fallen. And the petals looked a bit bruised and beaten up .

The individual parts of a whole, whether a flower, a machine, a human body or a government work best when they are not only put together but put together in the way they were designed to work. Alternative uses can be found for the parts... art made from found objects, organ transplants, fascism or a dictatorship, but if all the parts do not work together, it will not look like it was intended to look or operate as it was intended to operate.

When it comes to our government, I hope we can all find ways to talk to each other and be heard or our country will begin to look like an asylum and not a democracy.
