Deer, deer!

A wonderful day today, bright and sunny after a lightly frosty night. After going out to lunch at Poppies Garden Centre we carried on to Taynuilt and Loch Etive - see extras - to enjoy the sunshine.

On a fast, straight section of the A85 beyond Taynuilt, we drove past two red deer bums which were protruding from the hedge, their owners apparently oblivious to the speeding traffic. Stopping the car further on I walked back, but more than 50 yards away they were spooked and began to cross the road, fortunately just at the right place for me to catch them on the SLOW sign! They'd gone when we returned later - just as well, as drivers don't really expect deer on the road in full daylight.
