Sunrise over the Moor

Well, what a morning this turned out to be! The sun rose on the morning of our seventh anniversary celebrations at Newcastle parkrun. A record attendance of 767 runners took to the course on a very cold, but crisp and still day. Today was my 69th consecutive run at parkrun and I was thrilled to complete it in my best time since last April. 
After the run, we retired to a local school, for tea, cake and the presentation of some awards. I was thrilled and humbled to receive a bottle of Bowmore Islay malt from our Event Director to cap a wonderful morning and the perfect start to the weekend.
