The Loch and hills of Stenness

I had a walk along to the Ring of Brodgar and the RSPB reserve nearby. It was beautiful this morning with no wind and nice clouds, summerlike even, let alone springlike. A cool breeze did spring up later and the cloud thicker. Plenty of curlews, lapwings etc and a pair of stonechat on RSPB reserve, a pair of shelduck at the pools, 2 whoopers on Stenness among the 100+ mutes. A ringtail hen harrier was the only raptor.
