Dining and Dignity

The highlight of the weekend was a truly lavish meal prepared by Thrinlé, beautifully served to her guests. We took our inspiration for dignified dining from the manners of the Regency period as portrayed in the novels of Jane Austen. The manners of the time place more restrictions upon behaviour and conversation than we are used to. Within those limits there was also a gentle freedom in which mutual appreciation could be expressed and a fine dining experience enjoyed.
