Grape hyacinth

Grape Hyacinth is a perennial bulbous plant native to Eurasia (and they love growing in South Australia). This very strongly coloured flower produce spikes of dense, most commonly dark blue, urn-shaped flowers resembling bunches of grapes in the spring. Grape Hyacinth is the common name for this plant..
It is only when you look at things closely that you see the fine detail like the little white fringe around the bottom of each bell. This plant was growing right outside our front door.
