An ammonite

Today was overcast and damp so photography was limited to my ongoing experiments with close-up photography – the subject today being an ammonite which measures just 30mm across.
 
I quite like the picture I have posted – one of those that sometimes appears to be spiraling out, but can then flip and appear to be spiraling in (which is how it actually is).
