Stumblewood Common

Another lovely frosty, sunny day so we went for a short walk. (Short because my foot is still sore but managed 10,000 paces)  The ground was frozen, the ford in the photo was treacherous and I loved the name of the woods we had just walked through before taking this picture.
We were in the Ashdown Forest to put up notices in the car parks warning people of an orienteering event  in a few weeks time. This is an attempt to avoid complaints from horse riders about runners on the forest and "angry dog walker" syndrome  -  where  the checkpoint flags get thrown in the bracken because " the flags/ runners upset the dogs" . This in turn means children can't find their checkpoint and come back crying.
