Future Echoes....

A mixed bag of a day.

On one hand, it was my best friend's birthday AND we were heading through to the Weeg to see Pictish Trail play at Oran Mor as part of Celtic Connections- yet on the other hand....well, we know what was going on in Washington.

A late lunch at Hanoi Bike Shop. I wish they'd open one in Edinburgh - the food is so good. After lunch we headed along to our hotel, and a while later, made our way to Oran Mor for some food before the gig.

Food, beer, and then downstairs for the gig.

A full venue, but still room to move about. Bumped into a couple of folk we knew, and spotted several more from various gigs.

Pictish Trail were up to full capacity - which was good to see, as it's usually Johnny, his guitar and magic music box.

A cracking set, which included the Rides of Christ, appearing, as if by some divine intervention, to sing backing vocals on the last few songs. Praise be!

Back upstairs after the gig for more drinks, then back to the hotel, via the chipper, to help soak up the booze....turns out the booze to chips ratio was way off....
