Just like the Bahamas?

Despite the slight bleak Bank Holiday weather did drag ourselves out for a walk at a local nature reserve - Rock Edge. It's only a few minutes from the house but we don't venture there very often.

According to the sign

"The cliff has exposures of Upper Jurassic rocks which were laid down between 156 and 163 million years ago. At this period the land mass of which Britain is now a part was situated at a subtropical latitude, where corals produced small patch reefs in a shallow sea. Similar conditions are found today in the vicinity of the Bahama Banks in the Caribbean".
