The Sheds

I had to drive over to Sandy this afternoon and on the way back was passing the Cardington Sheds which were bathing in the warm afternoon sun. The sheds are the home of the Airlander, otherwise known as the 'Flying Bum', and which made the news last year when it was damaged by a heavy landing on its maiden flight. One of the sheds is 100 years old this year, and they were not only home to the airships R100 and R101 in the 1930's, but have recently been used in some major films, including the recent 'Star Wars' release.
