Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Vacant

Some of the hoardings have come down around a large vacant plot at the edge of campus. I seem to remember that there was a development proposal for the site that fell through seven or eight years ago, as so many did at that time. An exposed stretch of Bradford Beck runs along the bottom of the site, although its not visible from the perimeter.

For the moment the space affords views of the patchwork of derelict and repurposed mills and warehouses on the other side of Thornton Road, at least those that haven't burned down yet. The large mill is I think the back of the one that I blipped the poetic graffiti from a week or so ago.

And great for the butterflies, of course.
