Bark

Today has a real spring like feel in the air despite winter watch being compulsory evening viewing. It's 19 degrees in the house with no heating on and the dog has found a patch of direct sun in which to doze and dream. Intending to take some more close ups of bits and pieces I alighted on the bark chippings which had some interesting patterns and then noticed that quite a few bulbs are starting to appear so I continued to snap away. The sun is cutting fiercely through the tree and I like the shapes the twigs make so I decided to add to my gallery today with extra shots.
