Somewhat Symmetrical

Back at work and not teaching. 

I was given an interesting project.

"interesting" is a very relative term when it comes to my work.  What I think of as interesting is solving a puzzle.  I'm sure if I was the sort of Person Who Wanted To Get Ahead In Corporate IT, I would dress that up in Bullshit Bingo language. 

But I can't do that. 

I get given a problem (not an "opportunity") and I try to solve it.

You never read about Sherlock Holmes  pondering over his latest "opportunity".

It was a good day for me.  Finished off with a prototype solution.  Not perfect but it does what it's supposed to - for the moment.

I just know that when I demonstrate it, I'll get the "Oooh - could you make it do this thing-I've-never-mentioned-before as well?"

I probably can.

In Real Life,  it's still bitterly cold.  And I've had this in my head all day.
