The Winter Gardens

A walk through Glasgow Green today taking the route along by the river. The weather was much better than expected .... ideal weather for walking, cycling or sculling. We spotted a single sculler, a pair and a quad .... all men!

The aim of our walk was to reach the People's Palace and Winter Gardens. The palace, the red sandstone building, tells the story of Glasgow and its people from 1750 to the present day. We're keeping our visit there for a wet day!

The adjacent Winter Gardens, as well as serving great coffee and caramel shortcake, is filled with exotic palms and plants. It's also a popular venue for wedding receptions.
