Wild at Westport

Lovely bright day but very windy with some strong gusts.
We spent the morning at home then headed out to Glenbarr for lunch.
Our plan was to have a walk along Westport beach.
After another lovely lunch at Glenbarr we headed back to Westport beach for our walk.
However, the Southerly wind was blasting the dry sand along the beach so after walking a couple of hundred metres we decided it wasn't to be today. Maeve was very uncomfortable and struggling a bit in the wind which was blowing the sand along the beach.
We headed home and after settling Maeve went out for a walk to the old shipyard.
One family were being very brave an were flying a kite in the very strong winds (I have blipped the kite as an extra)
Back home I carried on with my rag rugging. I am finding this very therapeutic :-)
Later we had haggis accompanied by a glass of Shiraz in honour of Rabbie Burns :-)
